If you drive out to Gate No. 740 in Sanaswadi, you will find where we work. Shree Precoated Steels Ltd is a big operation, but at the end of the day, it is just a bunch of us making sure the lines are running right. Sanaswadi is a bit out there, away from the main city noise, which is nice in its own way. We have a lot of ground to cover here. It is a lot of walking back and forth between the gates and the main sheds. The work is steady. We deal with precoated steel, which involves a lot of watching the machines and checking the finish. It is not something you can rush. The sun can get pretty hot out here on the industrial plots, so we stay hydrated and keep the fans going. Most of us live nearby or commute in together. We are not into big corporate speeches. We just want to get the job done and go home to our families. Sometimes things break down and we have to stay late to fix a motor or a belt. That is just life in a factory. The noise is constant, but you get used to it after the first week. We have been at this location for a while now and we know the area well. It is a good place for a steel plant. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the daily production.
