Shree Hanuman Provision Stores

Shree Hanuman Provision Stores is over in Vishrantwadi on the 3rd Main Road, 1st Block. It’s a traditional provision store where we keep all the main household supplies. You’ll see sacks of grain on the floor and shelves filled with tins and packets. The 3rd Main Road is a busy place with plenty of traffic and people walking by. Our shop is tucked into the 1st Block, so we get a lot of the same faces every day. We open the shutters early to get the morning breeze before the sun gets too hot. The counter is made of heavy wood and has been there for a long time. We spend our day measuring out things and bagging them up for the customers. It’s a small space, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Sometimes we have to climb a ladder to get stuff from the top shelves. There’s a calendar on the wall with pictures of gods and some old notebooks where we keep track of things. The smell of loose tea and pulses is quite strong inside. People come in to buy their weekly supplies or just to get a single item they ran out of. We don't have any fancy music or lighting, just the basic stuff. It’s a quiet life in Vishrantwadi, and we like being part of the neighborhood. We just keep doing our work day after day. I usually sweep the front step twice a day because of the dust from the 3rd Main Road. It’s just a normal way to spend the day here.
