Shree General Store

Shree General Store is located near the bus stop in Shukrawar Peth. It’s a convenient spot at number 24 for people getting off the bus who need to pick up something for dinner on their way home. We have been running this place for a few years. It’s mostly just me and a helper. We sell basic groceries, some stationery, and toiletries. The bus stop makes it a busy corner, especially in the mornings and evenings. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with people rushing in and out. We don’t have a computerized system, so we just write things down or remember the prices. The shop is a bit old-fashioned. We have some jars of snacks on the counter that people like. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a big delivery of flour or sugar bags. We just pile them up in the corner. Shukrawar Peth is an old part of town and we like being here. It’s a steady life. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Just a local store where you can get your daily needs without any fuss. Sometimes the rain comes in through the front if the wind is strong. We just mop it up and keep going. We don't have a big sign, just enough so people know we're here. It’s been our livelihood for a while now. We hope to keep the shop going for a long time.
