Shivanand Pan Shop

If you walk down Karve Road and turn into Shinde Ali Gali, you will find our small shop. We are tucked away in the lane, which is a bit different from being right on the main road. It is a little quieter here, which we actually prefer. The shop has been in this spot for quite a while, and we have seen the buildings around us change quite a bit. Inside, it’s just the usual setup with jars and packets lined up on the walls. We spend a lot of our time prepping the betel leaves and making sure we don't run out of the popular items. Many of our customers are people who live right here in the Gali, so we know their families and what’s going on in their lives. It feels more like a community spot than just a business. We don't have any fancy displays or glowing signs. We just open the doors and wait for people to drop by for a chat and a pan. Sometimes the lane gets blocked by a delivery truck, but otherwise, it’s a steady flow of people. We stay open through the afternoon when the main road is too hot for anyone to be out. It’s just us here, keeping things going in Shinde Ali Gali. We don’t have big plans to expand or anything; we are just happy to be the local spot that everyone knows. It works for us.
