Shivam Industries

Out in Chinchwad at Ram Chowk, you’ll find Shivam Industries at 132/133. It’s a decent-sized space but we’ve filled it up completely with machinery and raw materials. There is usually a constant hum of machines running in the background. It’s the kind of place where you need to watch your step because of the metal scraps or boxes on the floor. We do a lot of industrial work here, so the guys are usually wearing work clothes that have seen better days. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping an eye on the production lines. We don’t have a fancy showroom or a clean office area. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to come into the main work area where all the noise is. We’ve been at this location for a while now and the locals around Ram Chowk know us. The schedule is pretty fixed, we start early and keep going until the shift ends. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend half the day fixing a machine, which is frustrating but just part of the routine. We don’t spend much time on the phone or the internet unless we have to order something. Most of our work is done with our hands and the machines we’ve had for years. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. The yard outside is often full of pallets waiting to be moved.
