Shivam General Shop

Shivam General Shop is located at 3850, right opposite the Shinde Building in Basava Lingappa Nagar. We are on the 4th Cross in Vadgoensheri. It’s a local neighborhood shop, the kind where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. We carry everything from snacks and cold drinks to soap and notebooks. It’s a bit of a mix. The shop is small and the shelves are quite crowded. We have things hanging from the ceiling too, just to make more room. Being in a residential part of Vadgoensheri means we see the same people every single day. We know who likes which brand of tea and who usually comes in for milk in the evening. It’s a busy little spot. We don't have any staff, just the family members taking turns behind the counter. Sometimes the kids help out after school. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We might be sitting on a plastic stool having lunch when a customer walks in, and that's just fine. We keep the shop open late because people always forget something they need for dinner. The 4th Cross can get a bit dark at night, so our light is often the only one on. We've been here for a good while and plan to stay for the foreseeable future. It’s just a normal part of the street where everyone stops by.
