Shivai Two Pan Shop

We are tucked away in Kasba Peth, specifically in the Ganesh Nagar area near the Vrindavan Co Operative Housing Society. It is a very residential spot, so we know almost everyone who lives in the society. Most of our business comes from the uncles taking their evening walks or people coming home from the market. We keep things pretty quiet here out of respect for the neighbors. It’s not like the shops on the main road. Here, people actually have time to stand and talk for twenty minutes. We sell the usual pan and some other small items people might need in a hurry. The shop is small, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting. I usually have the radio playing softly in the background. During the festivals, especially Ganpati, this whole area turns into a big celebration and we are right in the middle of it. The kids from Ganesh Nagar often come by for a bit of chocolate or a cold drink. It feels more like a community spot than a business sometimes. We try to keep the leaves fresh and the lime paste just right. It’s a lot of small details that people might not notice, but we do. We’ve been part of this housing society's daily life for a long time now and we like it that way.
