Shiv Parvati General Stores

Shiv Parvati General Stores is located over in Katraj, and it’s been our main focus for a long time. The shop is usually the first thing we think about when we wake up. We get the shutters up early because people in Katraj start their day pretty quick and need their supplies. We have all sorts of small things packed onto the shelves, from soaps and detergents to notebooks and whatever else someone might need in a hurry. It’s not a huge place, so every bit of wall space and corner is used up. Sometimes it feels a bit crowded when three or four people come in at once to buy things, but we manage just fine. We know most of the families around here since they’ve been coming to us for many years now. We don't really bother with big advertisements or any of that stuff. People just know we are here on the corner. Sometimes the school kids come in after their classes for a piece of candy or a new pen, and that’s always a loud and busy few minutes. The rest of the time, it’s just the usual steady flow of neighbors stopping by. We spend a lot of our time dusting the jars and rearranging the stock so it looks decent enough. It's hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a local spot for people living nearby.
