We started this shop in the Chinchwad area of Pune 1 quite some time ago. It’s a very small space right on a busy street. If you come inside, you’ll see we have mobile phones and accessories everywhere. The walls are covered in charging cables and cases. It gets quite hot in here because the shop is small and the afternoon sun hits the front glass pretty hard. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a small table fan that we keep near the counter. We spend most of the day helping people with their mobile recharges or trying to explain why their phone isn't catching the signal. It’s a lot of talking and repeating the same things to different people. We keep a small stool behind the counter, but we are mostly on our feet. The street outside is never quiet. You can hear the buses and the bikes all day long. We don't really have a lunch break; we just eat a quick tiffin when the shop is empty. We've seen a lot of people come and go over the years. Some are regulars who come every month to pay their bills. We don't use any complicated software to run the place. Just a few notebooks and our own phones to get the work done. It’s a basic way to earn a living but it keeps us busy from morning until night.
