Sher E Punjab Catering Services

The smell of spices is usually the first thing you notice when you get near our place on Karve Road. Sher E Punjab Catering Services has been operating out of Vishrantwadi at 23/56/2 for quite a while. It is a busy kitchen, especially early in the morning when we start the big pots of dal or get the rice going. We are not a restaurant where you sit down and eat. Instead, we spend our time prepping for weddings, birthday parties, or office lunches. It is a lot of chopping, stirring, and tasting. The heat in the kitchen can get pretty intense during the summer months, but we are used to it. Karve Road is always bustling, and we are right in the thick of it. We have a small team, mostly people who have been with us for years. We do not use fancy gadgets; it is mostly just big burners and heavy spoons. Sometimes we have to load the trucks in the middle of the night to get to a venue on time. It is hard on the back, but it is the life we chose. We have a lot of big stainless steel containers that we are constantly scrubbing. It is not the easiest work, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a hundred plates come back empty. We do not really do the fancy menu cards or things like that. We just talk to the families and figure out the food.
