Shembekar Foundry

Shembekar Foundry is located right on the Pune Mumbai Highway, which is always busy with trucks and cars zooming past. We are directly opposite the Khandoba Mandir in Akurdi. If you are looking for us, we are in the Chinchwad area, inside the Shembekar Industrial Compound. It’s an old industrial spot, and the foundry has been part of it for a long time. Being near the temple makes it easy for people to find us since everyone knows the Khandoba Mandir. The work we do at Shembekar Foundry is hot and heavy, which is just the nature of a foundry. We don't have a glossy front office. It’s more about the grit and the metal we work with every day. The compound has a lot of history to it. You can hear the sounds of industry all day long around here. We just get on with our production, making sure the casts are right and the furnace is running like it should. Living and working in the Akurdi-Chinchwad belt means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so it feels like the right place for us. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s honest work that needs to be done. We don't talk much about visions or anything like that. We just make the parts people need and keep the gates open. That's the way it's always been at the compound.
