Shahade Fabricators

Our workshop is out in Bhosari, right in Sector 10. If you are looking for us, just find the big water tank nearby and you’re basically there at Plot 226. Being in the PCNTDA area means we are surrounded by other shops and factories doing all sorts of metal work. At Shahade Fabricators, we spend the whole day around welding machines and grinders. The noise is just part of the background for us now. We take on various fabrication jobs, mostly involving steel and iron. Some days we are making gates, other days it might be window grills or heavy frames for a warehouse. It’s dirty work, and your hands are always covered in grease or iron dust by noon. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't wearing a welding mask at the moment. We look at the blueprints or hand-drawn sketches people bring in and try to figure out the best way to weld it all together. The floor is usually covered in scrap metal bits. We try to sweep up, but by the next hour, it’s the same thing again. It’s a practical life here in Bhosari. We work hard, we take our lunch break under the shade, and then we get back to the machines until it’s time to close up the shop. We don’t mind the heat much anymore.
