Our shop is tucked away in Shukrawar Peth at Bharat Bhavan. It's right behind the Saraswati Mandir School, which means it gets pretty lively when the kids are getting out. Being on Bajirao Road, we deal with a lot of traffic and people looking for their gas refills. We've been operating out of this spot for a long time now. Most of our day is spent handling cylinders and talking to customers who drop by. It’s not a quiet job. The clink of metal cylinders is the soundtrack to our day. Sometimes the delivery vans have a hard time navigating the narrow lanes around here, but we’ve gotten used to it. We know most of the people in the neighborhood by name since everyone needs gas. The office is small and usually has a few people waiting. We don’t have fancy furniture or anything like that. It’s just a place to keep the records and manage the bookings. Sometimes it feels like we’re always playing catch-up with the orders, but we do what we can. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We focus on the daily grind and making sure the stove stays lit for everyone in the area. The smell of old ledgers and the sound of the bell on the door is what we know best. It is just another day in the Peth for us, keeping things moving.
