Satyam Fabricators

Working at Satyam Fabricators means being in the middle of PCNTDA, specifically Sector No 7. Our spot is Plot No 177-3. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the numbering around here. Fabrication is loud work. There is always someone grinding metal or the bright flash of a welder going off. It’s not the cleanest job, but it is what we do. The shop floor is usually covered in scrap pieces and various tools we use for our daily projects. We don’t bother with much decoration because it would just get covered in soot and dust anyway. Being in Bhosari, we are part of a huge network of similar shops. You can hear the hum of the whole sector from our doorway. We have a small office space for the paperwork, but most of us are out on the floor getting our hands dirty. The gate is usually left open to let some breeze in, though it doesn’t help much on the really hot afternoons. We know the other guys on Plot 177 and the surrounding blocks quite well. Sometimes we borrow a tool, sometimes they borrow one from us. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We keep our heads down and focus on the steel and the measurements. It is honest, heavy work that takes up most of our daylight hours, and that’s fine with us.
