Santosh Watch

You can find Santosh Watch at 2 Kundalhalli Main Road, right in the Dhorenagar area. The shop is located on a busy stretch of the road, so there’s always something happening right outside our window. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by the workbench and the glass cabinets where we keep the various watches and parts. The air inside usually smells a bit like metallic oil and old paper. I’ve been sitting at this same bench for a long time now, watching the neighborhood change while I work on whatever watch is in front of me. The floor is just simple concrete and the walls are covered with a few old calendars and some shelves for spare parts. We don’t have any fancy marketing or a big team of people. It’s just a straightforward place where we handle repairs and battery changes. Sometimes the traffic on Kundalhalli Main Road gets so loud you can’t hear the clocks, but you get used to the noise after a few days. People from Dhorenagar know they can drop by whenever they have a problem with their timepiece. We don’t use any complicated technology here, just the same steady hands and basic tools we’ve used for years. It’s a humble setup, but it’s enough for what we do. We usually keep a bottle of water and some biscuits tucked under the counter for when things get a bit slow in the mid-afternoon.
