Santosh Provision Stores has been right here in Pimpri Ram Nagar 5 for quite a while now. It is just a small place, packed with whatever people usually need for their kitchens. We open up early because that is when everyone wants their milk and bread before heading to work. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and it gets a bit chaotic, but we manage. My hands are usually dusty from moving sacks of grain or stacking those heavy oil tins. It is not fancy here. The shelves are a bit old and we use every inch of space we have. You might have to squeeze past someone in the aisle. We keep basic things like dal, rice, sugar, and the usual soaps or toothpastes. Every day is pretty much the same routine of checking what is running low and writing it down on a scrap of paper. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to say hello while they pick up a packet of biscuits. It gets busy in the evenings when folks are coming home and realize they forgot something for dinner. We don't have a big computer system or anything, just a notebook and a calculator. It works for us. Living and working in the same area means you know everyone’s face. It’s just a regular shop doing what it does. We try to keep things in stock so nobody has to walk too far. That is about it really. No bells or whistles, just a neighborhood store.
