Sant Gyaneshwar Steels

We are located at 225 Alandi Devachi, near the Dadar area close to Dhanore. Sant Gyaneshwar Steels is basically a yard where we keep a lot of industrial steel. It’s a very practical operation. We have piles of rebar, some heavy sheets, and various pipes stacked up according to their thickness. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets pretty muddy when it rains. We spend our days loading these heavy materials onto trucks and unloading new stock that comes in. Alandi Devachi is a bit away from the main city noise, but it still gets plenty of traffic from the construction crews. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. There’s just a small shack where we keep the scales and the ledger. Most of our work is physical, moving metal from one spot to another and making sure the counts are right. We wear heavy boots and gloves because you can easily get a cut or a bruise working with steel all day. It’s a tough job but we have a good rhythm going. Near Dhanore, people know us as the place to get steel for their building projects. We don't do much talking; we just get the orders loaded and sent out. It’s how we have always done things here. The sun beats down on the yard, so we take plenty of water breaks under the tin roof whenever it gets too hot for us to keep moving.
