Our office is out in MIDC Bhosari, at the Indian Institute of Management and Training. We are in the El-39/5 section. It is a bit of a trek for those of us living in the main part of Pune, especially with the traffic near Indrayani Nagar, but we are used to it by now. The area is very industrial, so there are always trucks moving around and the sounds of machinery from the nearby sheds. Being inside the institute building gives it a bit of a different feel than a standard office park. We have our desks set up and it’s usually pretty quiet inside, which helps when we are focused on service tasks. The canteen nearby is where most of us grab lunch, though the food is just average. Pune gets really hot in the summer, and the industrial zone seems to trap that heat, so we are always glad for the fans and the shade. We don't have a big reception or anything like that. It is mostly just a workspace where we get things done and deal with the daily pile of emails. People here have been working together for a long time, so we don't need a lot of rules to know how to get through the day. It’s a practical spot for us. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to catch up on, and the commute home in the dark is a bit faster than the morning rush.
