Sanjay Steels

Sanjay Steels has been operating out of 139 Osade in the Shrinagar Society area for quite some time. We’re located right on Productivity Main Road, which is pretty convenient for the trucks coming in and out with loads of steel. It’s right near the Shrenik Park Cross Road, across from Kalpatru Plaza. If you know that area, you know it gets quite busy during the day. My day usually starts early, checking the inventory and making sure we have enough rods and sheets for the orders that came in yesterday. It's heavy work and the yard gets noisy with the sound of metal moving around. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know most of the contractors and builders who stop by. We don’t have a fancy office; it’s mostly just a desk surrounded by samples and order forms. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains and everything gets muddy, but we keep the gates open regardless. Managing a steel business means dealing with prices that change all the time, which can be a headache. I spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. People stop by because they need a few pieces for a home repair or a big batch for a new project. We just do our work, load the vehicles, and try to keep everything organized in the shed. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we have been at it for a long time.
