Sanjay Provision Store

Sanjay Provision Store is right on White Field Road in the Nehru Nagar area. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. Most days start early for us, around six, getting the milk crates moved and the newspapers set out. It’s a lot of lifting and bending, and my back definitely feels it by the time evening rolls around. We’ve got everything from soap to rice, though sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late. The shelves are a bit crowded, and you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you’re walking through. We know most of the people who come in here by their first names. It’s just the way it is in Nehru Nagar. We don't have a website or any of that, just the shop on the corner of White Field Road. Sometimes the kids from the school nearby come in and make a mess of the candy aisle, but they're good kids. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a rattling noise, but it keeps the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest store around, just a place where you can get what you need for the house. If the light is on, we are open. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. No big speeches or fancy promises, just us and the store.
