Samrudhi Kirana

If you are living around Katraj in Pune, you might know Samrudhi Kirana. We are based in Shri Sai Palace, right where the local traffic keeps things lively. It is a straightforward grocery store where we keep all the essentials like grains, oils, and packaged snacks. We aren't trying to be one of those big malls, just a handy place for the families nearby to get what they need for their kitchens. The shop stays quite busy on weekends when everyone is doing their big weekly shop. We have different types of rice and flours stacked up, and we try to make sure the items are decent for the price. Pune is growing fast. Katraj has become so crowded lately, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck doesn't show up on time, but that’s just how it goes sometimes with a small business. We do our own inventory and try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit messy when a new shipment comes in. You won't find any flashy lights or loud music here, just the sound of weighing scales and paper bags rustling. It’s a quiet life mostly, just chatting with the neighbors while we pack up their sugar or salt. We’ve been here long enough that most people know us by name now. It’s just work, but it is good work and it keeps us busy.
