You can find us in Budhwar Peth, right on the 32nd Cross at number 277. It’s a narrow building and the stairs are a bit steep, so you have to be careful coming up. We handle a lot of different supplies and materials here. The main room is basically a big warehouse with a small corner carved out for a desk and a few chairs. There’s always some dust in the air because of all the cardboard boxes being moved around. My day usually starts early, opening the shutters and checking what needs to be delivered across town. The 32nd Cross is a hectic place to be, with bikes parked everywhere and people constantly shouting to get through. It’s not the quietest environment to work in, but it’s where all the action is. We’ve got stacks of files that go back years because we like to keep track of everything on paper. The walls are a little yellowed and we have a calendar from three years ago still hanging up because we liked the picture. Most of the people who come here are regular customers who know exactly what they want, so we don't have to spend much time explaining things. We just pull the items from the shelves, pack them up, and move on to the next task. It’s a very practical way to run things, without any fuss or complicated systems.
