Samartha & And Signages is situated right at Plot No. 1, near Karve Putla in Kothrud. If you are coming down the road, you’ll see the Lodha Petrol Pump nearby. We are just opposite the Karve Statue, which is a busy spot. The shop has been here for some time now. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and checking the list of signs we need to finish. It gets quite noisy with the traffic outside, especially near the statue. People often stop by asking for directions because we are right at a main landmark. We spend most of the day handling materials, cutting sheets, and fixing letters. The space is filled with tools and scraps of vinyl. It is not a fancy office, just a practical workshop where work gets done. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. We’ve seen the area around Karve Putla change over the years. New shops come and go, but we stay busy with our boards. Usually, there is a lot of dust because of the road, so we spend a fair bit of time cleaning the glass. It is a straightforward business. We just focus on getting the signage right for whoever walks in. It is a lot of manual work, getting the alignment perfect and making sure the lights work if it’s a glow sign. Most of our neighbors are also busy folks. It is a good spot to be in, right in the heart of Kothrud.
