Gourmet Bistrot

Gourmet Bistrot is located right by Salisbury Park, very close to the Adventist Hospital. We’ve been serving food here for a while now. It’s a small place, not like those big chain restaurants you see in the malls. We have a kitchen that’s usually humming with noise from morning until evening. Being near the hospital means we see a lot of doctors and nurses coming in for a quick bite or some coffee. Salisbury Park is a nice, green area, so the atmosphere around here is usually pretty calm. We don't have a professional decorator; we just put up some chairs and tables that felt comfortable to us. The menu isn't huge, but we try to make things that people actually want to eat. It gets busy during lunch hours, and sometimes the service is a bit slow when we’re understaffed, but we do what we can. We’ve got a few regulars who have been coming since the day we opened. It’s more like a family than a business sometimes. We don't do any fancy advertising or marketing. People just find us while they’re walking through the park or visiting the hospital. We like the pace of life here. It’s a lot of work, and my feet usually ache by the end of the shift, but seeing people enjoy a meal makes it feel worth it. We just keep cooking and trying to make this little corner of Salisbury Park a good place to be.
