Sajawat Mobile Junction is located in Nigidi at number 7. I chose the name because I wanted to focus on making phones look a bit better with different covers and accessories, but we end up doing a lot of everything. The shop is a bit narrow, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. I have rows of cases hanging on the walls, ranging from plain black ones to some that are quite bright and colorful. Nigidi is a busy area, especially with all the commuters moving through. I’ve been here for a couple of years now. Most days, I’m behind the counter helping people with their phone recharges or trying to figure out why their camera isn’t working. It’s a lot of troubleshooting. I keep my tools in a small plastic bin under the counter. The lighting in the shop is a bit harsh, but it helps when I’m trying to see the small parts inside a phone. I usually have some music playing softly in the background to keep things from being too quiet. People from the nearby shops often drop by for a tea and a chat in the afternoons. It’s a friendly atmosphere. I don’t try to make the shop look like something it’s not. It’s just a local junction for mobile stuff where we do our work and hope for the best. It keeps me busy enough from morning until we close up at night.
