Sainath Provision Store

Sainath Provision Store is located in Yerwada, specifically in the Rizvi Chambers on Hill Road, at number 191. Being on Hill Road means there is a lot of noise and people moving about constantly. We have a decent-sized shop here where we keep all the household necessities. From cleaning supplies to basic food items like wheat and pulses, we try to keep it all in stock. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, so we often have to use a small ladder to reach things for customers. It’s a bit of a workout every day. We get a lot of foot traffic because of the location. People stopping by on their way to the bus stop or those living in the flats nearby. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the counters get cluttered with bread crates and milk bags. We’ve had a few leaks in the ceiling when the monsoon hits hard, but we just put out buckets and carry on. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. We just focus on having what people ask for. The hours are long, but we like the rhythm of the work. Every customer has their own preferences, and we try to remember who likes which brand of tea or which type of rice they prefer. It’s a good community here and we’ve been part of it for years.
