Sainath Pan Centre

Sainath Pan Centre is right here in Shukrawar Peth Village Yarag. It is a quiet enough corner most of the time. We open up the shutters every morning and set things out on the shelves. It is mostly just us sitting here waiting for people to stop by after they finish their meals. Pan is what we do. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to get attention. People around here already know where we are. The air in Shukrawar Peth feels a bit different in the evening. There is a lot of walking traffic then. We try to keep the ingredients fresh every day. Sometimes the leaves are better than other days, depending on what we get from the market. We don't talk much unless someone wants to have a chat about the weather or the news. It is a small space. Just enough for the jars and the counter we work on. We have been in Village Yarag for a good bit of time now. You see the same people every day. Some stop for a minute, and others are in a huge hurry. We just keep working. It is a simple life running a pan shop. No big plans, just keeping the shop open for the neighborhood. Sometimes we stay late if there is a festival happening on the street. It can get dusty being so close to the road. We just wipe things down and keep going. That is how it is.
