Sainath Organic

Out in Shirur, in the Suraj Nagar area, we run Sainath Organic. It’s a simple setup where we focus on organic products. Living and working in Shirur is a bit different than being in the middle of a big city like Pune or Mumbai. Things move a bit slower here, which suits us just fine. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the actual products, checking the bags and making sure everything is stored properly so it stays fresh. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at from the outside, just a regular building in a residential neighborhood. We started this because we wanted to have more natural options nearby, and it’s grown from there. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away in Suraj Nagar. We spend our mornings opening up the shop and checking what needs to be restocked. It’s mostly just us doing the heavy lifting and handling the sales. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it’s really dusty or during the heavy rains, but we manage to keep the shop going. We don't have any big marketing plans or shiny brochures. We just talk to people who come in and tell them about what we have on the shelves that day. It’s a quiet way to spend the day, and we like being part of the community here in Shirur. There is always someone new to meet.
