Spoorthy Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out in the village of Chambli. We are located along the Saswad to Kondhwa Road in the Purandar Taluka of Pune district. It’s a very different vibe here compared to the city. You see a lot of green fields and tractors passing by our office every day. Since we are a farmers producer company, our life revolves around the seasons and what is growing in the dirt. Most of us are either farmers ourselves or have family who are. We spend a lot of time talking about crops and organic methods because that’s what we do. It’s not a quiet office; there is usually someone coming in from the fields with dirt on their boots. We use the space to organize and talk about how to get our produce to the market. The road outside can get quite dusty in the summer and very muddy when the monsoon hits. We have a few computers and some basic furniture, but most of the real work happens outside. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. We just try to help the local farmers get a fair deal for their hard work. It's a lot of manual coordination and long days during harvest time. Sometimes we sit outside under the shade when the power goes out. It’s just a local effort to keep the organic farming going in our village.
