Saikrupa Auto Electrical

Saikrupa Auto Electrical is tucked away in the Chhabal Building. It’s on Hansoti Lane, which is right by the Jolly Gymkhana in Ghatkopar West. We even have Bibwewadi in the address though we are definitely here in the Ghatkopar area. The shop is at number 1. It’s a busy place with cars often lined up outside if the lane isn’t too blocked by other traffic. We spend our days messing with wires and checking batteries that have died. It’s usually pretty hot and the smell of grease is always there in the air. The building itself is old and has a lot of character. We have a small bench where we test the alternators and starters. People from the neighborhood know us by now. They stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about their headlights. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle the tools. The floor is stained with oil and there are old parts kept in crates under the tables. We keep a small radio on for some background music. It’s not a fancy service center with a glass window. You can see exactly what we are doing. We just focus on getting the cars back on the road. Ghatkopar is a loud, active place and we fit right in. Sometimes the work is greasy and difficult but it’s what we know. We close up when the sun goes down and do it all again.
