You can find us at Madhav Kanawade’s place, House Number 13/3, in the village of Bhirwadi. It’s a small spot with the pincode 422601. We are a farmer producer company, so we are basically a group of neighbors who decided to join forces. Most of us have been farming our whole lives. We focus on organic methods because we think it’s better for the ground and the people. The "office" is really just Madhav's front room or the porch. We don't have fancy desks or chairs. We sit where we can and talk about the crops. Bhirwadi is a tight-knit community, so everyone knows what we are doing. We don't have any big-city ideas about business. We just want to get a fair price for our organic produce and help each other out. It’s hard work, and some years are better than others depending on the rain. We don't have a website or a big office in the city. We are just farmers who want to do things a bit differently. Sometimes we spend all day in the dirt and then come back to do the paperwork in the evening. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We just keep things moving as best as we can. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the soil and the seasons. We aren't experts at marketing, but we try to be fair with everyone we deal with.
