Sai Communication

If you're in Chandan Nagar 4, you’ve probably seen our small shop. Sai Communication isn't a big electronics store with bright lights and glass displays. We have a small counter and the walls are lined with phone cases and charging cables. Most of our day is spent helping people with their mobile recharges or trying to fix a screen that’s been cracked. It’s a small space, so it gets crowded quickly if more than three people are inside at once. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and motorbikes zooming past. We don’t have a fancy computer to track everything; we just use a small ledger and our memory. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to tell people to wait a bit for their top-ups to go through. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now and we know the usual crowd that walks by every evening. We don't have a uniform or anything corporate like that. Usually, I'm just wearing a t-shirt and sitting behind the counter with a cup of tea. If someone has a problem with their phone, we take a look and see what we can do. It’s not a complicated business, just staying open late enough for the people coming home from work to stop by. We try to keep things easy for everyone who walks through the door.
