Sahyandri Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at House Number 40 in Muktanand Nagar, Khamgaon. We are a group that focuses on organic farming because we think it's better for the soil and for the people eating the food. Khamgaon is where we all live and work, so it made sense to set up our office right here in the neighborhood. It’s not a professional office space with cubicles. It is just a house where we keep our files and meet up to talk about the business. Most of us are farmers ourselves, so we know how difficult the work can be. We spend a lot of our time visiting different farms to see how the organic methods are working out. It takes a lot of patience to grow things this way, but we think it’s worth the effort. We don't have any flashy slogans or big advertisements. We just rely on word of mouth and the quality of what we grow. Sometimes the paperwork for the organic certification gets a bit overwhelming, but we help each other through it. If you come by Muktanand Nagar, you'll see us at number 40. There’s usually a couple of motorbikes parked outside and someone busy with a ledger. We are just a local bunch trying to do things a bit differently and keep our land healthy for the next generation of farmers coming up after us.
