Sadguru Super Market

Sadguru Super Market is situated at Bhosarigoan 687/1. It’s a sturdy building, though it’s nothing special to look at from the street. We just try to keep it well-stocked with the essentials. You can find all the usual things like lentils, cooking oil, and even some small household items like batteries or lightbulbs. I spend a lot of my time making sure the pickle jars are lined up and the bread is as fresh as it can be. The floor is just plain concrete and it gets a bit chilly in the winter months, but it’s easy enough to keep clean. We get a lot of workers stopping in after their shifts at the nearby factories. They’re usually in a hurry to get their things and head home, so I try to be as quick as I can with the change and the bagging. Sometimes the power goes out in this area, and we have to pull out the flashlights for a while, but we stay open. It’s a neighborhood place through and through. We know most of the customers by name, or at least we know what they usually buy every week. My daughter helps me out with the books in the evening. It’s a lot to keep track of, but it’s what keeps us going. We don’t have any loud music or big signs. It’s just a quiet shop where you can get what you need for your kitchen.
