Down on Dargah Street in Akurdi, you'll find S S Mobile Services at number 13. We’ve been working out of this small shop for a while, mostly dealing with broken phones and software stuff. It’s a narrow street and things can get pretty crowded outside, especially on Friday afternoons. Inside, it’s mostly just a workbench covered in tools, screwdrivers, and tiny screws that are easy to lose. We don't have a big staff, it’s just me and a cousin usually. We spend most of our time hunched over phones trying to fix cracked screens or swap out old batteries. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit hard on the eyes. People from around the neighborhood bring their mobiles when they stop charging or the speakers go quiet. We don't promise anything we can't do, and we’re pretty straight about how long a repair will take. Sometimes parts are hard to find, so we have to wait a few days. The shop isn't much to look at, just a counter and some shelves with old phone cases. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know where we are and come by when they have a problem. It’s a bit dusty with all the electronics, but we keep it going. We just enjoy the challenge of getting a dead phone to turn back on again for someone.
