Our place is at number 264 in Hinjawadi. Now, everyone knows Hinjawadi for the big IT parks and the fancy glass buildings, but we are on the more industrial side of things. Dealing with steel isn't as clean as writing software, but it’s what we know. We have been here for a while, and the yard is usually full of beams, rods, and different types of steel waiting to be moved. It’s a noisy environment with trucks coming in and out all day. Sometimes the traffic in Pune makes things take longer than we’d like, but we do our best to keep things moving. We aren't a big corporate office with receptionists; you’ll usually find us out in the back checking the stock or talking to the drivers. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve learned that in the steel trade, you just have to be reliable and have the stock ready when someone needs it. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they’re working on a construction project nearby and need materials fast. It’s hard work, and the sun gets pretty hot out in the yard, but it’s honest. We just focus on getting the steel out the door and keeping the records straight. It’s a simple business model that has worked for us so far, and we plan to keep it that way for the long run.
