S R Electronix

S R Electronix is situated on Commercial Street in Shivaji Nagar, at address 925/B2. It’s a very busy part of town and the noise from the street never really stops. We specialize in repairing all sorts of electronics, from old television sets to modern kitchen appliances. The shop is quite narrow and the walls are lined with shelves full of half-repaired items and spare parts. It’s a bit of a maze back there. I’ve been working on circuit boards for most of my life. My nephew joined me a few years ago to help with the newer gadgets that come in. Shivaji Nagar is a great spot because there’s always someone passing by with a broken radio or a remote that stopped working. We don't have a fancy waiting room. People usually just stand at the counter or come back later. The lighting in the shop is a bit harsh because we need it to see the tiny components. Sometimes we can't find the right part for an old machine and it sits on the shelf for months. It’s a lot of tedious work with a soldering iron. We don't do any marketing; our reputation is just built on fixing things properly. The rent on Commercial Street is high, so we have to stay busy. It’s a cramped space but it’s where we spend our whole day. We just keep our heads down and get through the repairs.
