Our place is on the 3rd floor of the Chandraprabhu Apartments, which most people around here just call the DCC Building. It’s right in Deccan Gymkhana, so there’s always something happening outside on the street. Being on the 3rd floor means we have to walk up a lot of stairs every single day, which definitely keeps us moving. The office is full of drawings, maps, and technical books. As S K Enterprises Engineers & Consultants, we spend a lot of our time looking at plans and trying to figure out how things should be built or fixed. It’s not always clean work; sometimes we come back from construction sites with dust on our shoes and dirt on our clothes. We have a few big tables where we can spread out the blueprints to look at them properly. The light coming through the windows is actually quite good in the morning hours. We’ve got a small area in the corner where we keep the site helmets and measuring tapes. It’s a working office, so it’s often a bit cluttered with samples and various pieces of equipment. We’ve known most of the other tenants in the DCC building for years now. We often share a laugh in the hallway or talk about how bad the traffic was on the way in. Our work comes from people who know what we do and tell others about it later.
