S K Electrical

If you walk down M G Road and look for number 52, you’ll find S K Electrical tucked in there. We have been in this spot for years, dealing with all sorts of wires, switches, and those little bits and pieces people need for their homes. The shop is pretty packed with boxes from floor to ceiling, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact bulb or fuse someone is asking for. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where most things are hidden. The street outside is always noisy with motorcycles and people walking to the market, so there’s never a dull moment. We usually start the day early, pulling up the shutters and sweeping the front bit of the pavement. Most of our customers are just people from the neighborhood who have a leaking water heater or a fan that stopped spinning. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here at 52 M G Road when something breaks. It gets quite warm in the back of the shop during the summer months, so we keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze. Sometimes we sit on the plastic crates and eat our lunch while chatting with the delivery guys. It’s a basic business, nothing too complicated, just us and a whole lot of electrical supplies in a small space.
