Rural Hospital Building

Our place is the Rural Hospital Building over on Hadapsar Rail Station Road in Mundhwa. It’s near the 55/A/2 Kalidas Lonkar Chal, which most people around here use as a landmark to find us. The road can get quite dusty with the traffic heading toward the station, but once you step inside, it is a bit quieter. This building has several floors where different things happen, mostly focused on getting people back on their feet. It’s an older structure, so the walls have seen a lot of patients come and go over the years. We don't have those shiny glass walls you see in new city offices. Instead, it’s just sturdy brick and paint. There are benches for people to sit while they wait their turn. The layout is a bit narrow in some spots, especially near the stairs, but we manage to move equipment and stretchers when we have to. Most of the people working here have been part of the Mundhwa community for a long time. We handle the daily health needs of the families living in the chawls and the surrounding apartments. It is a practical space, not meant for show. We spend our days looking at charts and talking to families about their health. It’s a lot of routine work, but it matters to the people who walk through our doors every morning.
