Royal Varieties

Royal Varieties is located at Deccan Gymkhana 1261. It is a spot that gets a fair amount of foot traffic, especially on the weekends when people are out and about. We carry a bit of everything, which is why the name fits, I suppose. The shop is tucked away, but once you find us, you’ll see we have stacks of items piled up. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but there is a logic to where things are kept. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. But we are more focused on keeping the shelves stocked with things people actually use. It’s a simple shop. There’s no background music or expensive lighting. We just have the basic overhead lights and the sound of the street outside. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a few minutes while we unload new boxes, but the neighbors are used to it. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just a local variety store where you can pick up odd bits and pieces. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the people go by on the sidewalk. Other days we are running around trying to help three people at once. It’s a decent life here in Deccan Gymkhana, and we like the people we meet every single day. We stay open late enough for most people to stop by after work.
