Rise 'n' Shine Biotech is out at Dattaprabha Farm in Theur. It’s part of the Haveli Taluka. Being on a farm is a lot different than being in a city office. We are surrounded by plants and soil instead of concrete. Our work is all about biotechnology, specifically focusing on how to make things grow better. It’s a lot of hands-on work in the labs and out in the fields. The sun is usually bright out here, and we spend a good chunk of our day checking on the progress of our cultures. It is a quiet place compared to Pune city, which is nice. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just people in the trade or researchers. The office is just a small part of the whole farm setup. We have mud on our boots more often than not. It's not the kind of place where things are perfectly polished. We are dealing with living things, so there is always a bit of unpredictability. Sometimes a batch doesn't work out, or the weather changes things. We just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to sell a dream, just working with science to improve farming. It’s a long day from sunrise to sunset, but being out in Theur makes it feel worth it. We just keep working on the next generation of plants while the birds chirp outside our window.
