Rex Telecom

Viman Nagar is a busy place, especially around Vitthalwadi and Akurdi. Our shop, Rex Telecom, is right there in Pune 7. It is not a very big space, but we have enough room for the counter and some shelves for mobile accessories. Most of the day is spent looking at small screens or trying to find why a phone won't charge properly. People come in usually because they are in a hurry and their device stopped working. We see a lot of students and office workers who live nearby. The walls are a bit plain and there is a faint smell of plastic and electronics. We keep a lot of SIM cards and recharge vouchers ready because that is what most people ask for when they step in. It can get quite loud with the traffic outside, so we often have to speak up to be heard. Sometimes the courier guy drops off a box of new tempered glass and we have to find a place to put it without blocking the door. It is a simple routine. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person who needs their screen fixed. We have been in this part of Pune for a while now and know many of the faces that pass by every day. It is just a regular shop doing regular work for the neighborhood.
