Our workshop is over in the Sanghvi Steel Compound in Mohan Nagar. Chinchwad is a busy industrial area, so there is always the sound of metal hitting metal or someone grinding something nearby. We have units C3 and C4. It’s basically a big shed where we do the engineering work. There’s oil on the floor in some places and the smell of welding is pretty much always there in the air. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our overalls, probably holding a wrench or looking at a drawing on the table. The light comes in through the big open doors, which we keep open to let the air circulate, otherwise, it gets way too stuffy inside. We work on various parts and machines, trying to get the dimensions right and making sure the fit is good for the customers. It’s honest work and it gets our hands dirty every single day. We have a small table in the corner where we keep the records and where the phone sits. It rings a lot with people asking about their orders or when a part will be ready. We just tell them the truth about how long it’s going to take. There’s no point in making things sound better than they are. We just do the engineering and go home at night.
