Ranipora Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited

We set up Ranipora Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited because we wanted a way to bring what we grow to the people in the city. Our office is actually in the Town Center at Amanora in Pune, which is a bit different from the farms where the actual work happens. It is a busy spot, Chamber Office No. 506, and there is always something going on downstairs. We spend half our time in the dirt and the other half dealing with the city side of things. It is funny how different the two worlds are. In Pune, everyone is in a hurry, but on the farm, things take as long as they take. We are focusing on organic ways of doing things which isn't always the easiest path. There is a lot of learning involved and sometimes we make mistakes with the timing or the logistics. Getting the produce from the fields to a place like Amanora takes some doing. Most of us are just regular people who care about how food is grown. We don't have big speeches or fancy suits. Usually, we are just tired from the commute or the paperwork. It’s a lot of juggling between the rural roots and this modern office space. We just want to keep things moving and make sure the farmers get a fair shake. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes but we are sticking with it.
