Rangoli Fast Food is right on Law College Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always moving with students and people working nearby. We’ve been here long enough that the sounds of the street don’t even bother us anymore. Our shop is small, but we pack a lot into it. Every morning starts with prep work—chopping vegetables, checking the sauces, and getting the stove going. Law College Road is a prime spot, but it means we have to work fast to keep up with the crowd. It gets especially lively in the afternoons when classes let out. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment. It’s just a standard fast-food setup with a few tables and chairs for people who want to sit down. Most of our customers are in a rush, so we’ve gotten pretty good at getting orders out quickly. The air in here usually smells like frying oil and spices, which is exactly how it should be. We’re just a small team of people trying to keep things running smoothly. There’s no big corporate office behind us. It’s just us. Sometimes we’re tired by the end of the shift, but seeing the same faces come back every day makes it feel like we’re doing something right. We just keep our heads down and focus on the food we’re serving to whoever walks in off Law College Road.
