Rajratan Metals

Rajratan Metals is located at Survey No 304 in Raviwar Peth. We are part of the Dasrath Estate, which sits right on Gupha Road. This part of the city is very old and the streets are quite narrow, so getting here can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to it. We deal in all kinds of metal products and scrap materials. It is a heavy-duty business, so the place is always a bit grimy and full of metal shavings. We don't have a polished showroom. What you see is a large warehouse floor with stacks of steel and copper. It gets quite hot in the afternoons under the tin roof, but we just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze there is. Most of our customers are tradespeople who have been buying from us for years. They know we don't bother with fancy talk or marketing gimmicks. We weigh the metal and tell them what the day's rate is. We’ve worked in Raviwar Peth for a long time because it is the traditional hub for this kind of trade. You can hear the sounds of hammers and saws from the neighboring shops all day. It is a hardworking environment where nobody minds getting their hands dirty or wearing old clothes. We take our lunch breaks together in the small cabin we built in the corner of the lot. It’s a simple setup, but it works for the kind of work we do here.
