Rajlaxmi Steel

Rajlaxmi Steel is tucked away at 77/1 on the Kothrud Shopping Street. This whole area is always packed with people looking for one thing or another, so it can be quite a struggle just to park a bike sometimes. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot of steel and hardware into the space we have. It’s a bit dusty and the metal can be heavy to move around, so we’re usually pretty worn out by the time we close the shutters for the night. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny showroom with air conditioning. It’s just a regular shop where we sell what people need for their construction or repairs. We see a lot of regular contractors and local folks who just need a few pieces of steel for a project at home. Sometimes the orders get a bit confusing when everyone is talking at once in the shop, but we usually get it sorted out eventually. The Kothrud area has changed a lot since we started, but this shopping street still feels like the heart of the neighborhood. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell steel and try to keep our inventory straight. If you come by 77/1, you’ll see us there, probably moving some pipes or checking a list of what arrived this morning. It’s hard work and it can be noisy, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
