Rajan Pharmaceuticals

Rajan Pharmaceuticals is based out in Chinchwad, specifically at 56/17 in the D-II Block of the M.I.D.C. area. It’s a very industrial part of the world. You hear the sounds of machinery and trucks all day long, which is just normal for us. We’ve got our space here and it’s where all the pharmaceutical work happens. It’s a practical building, nothing too flashy about it. We have a floor for the machines and some space for the office stuff. Every morning we start early to beat some of the heat. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of industry around here. We deal with a lot of different supplies coming in and out. It’s a lot of physical work and standing around making sure the batches are right. We don't really have time for much else. Most of the workers live nearby or commute from the other side of town. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We have our regular breaks and the tea stall nearby is where we usually end up. It’s not the kind of job you see on TV, it’s just real life in a factory block. We’ve been in this D-II Block for years and we know how the system works here. It’s about getting the work done and heading home at the end of the shift. That's the way it's always been for us since we started.
