Rahul Watch Company

Rahul Watch Company is located right at 1342, just across from the PMC building in Shivaji Nagar. It’s been here for quite some time, and not much has changed inside the shop over the years. The glass cases are a bit old, and there is always a faint smell of machine oil in the air. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the workbench where the small tools sit. People from the neighborhood usually walk in when their wristwatches stop ticking or when a strap finally snaps after years of use. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for a few people to stand and wait while we look at a spring or change out a battery. Shivaji Nagar can get really loud with all the traffic and people going to the government offices nearby, but inside the shop, things stay pretty quiet. We have a lot of old clocks hanging on the walls that we’ve collected or people just never picked up. Some of them chime at different times, which can be a bit confusing if you aren't used to it. We don't do anything fancy here, just the basic work of keeping things running. Sometimes a kid comes in with a cheap digital watch, and other times it's an old man with a heavy gold one he’s had since his wedding. We treat them both about the same.
